Come work with us!

Hi! We’re No Goblin! We’ve made unique games with heart like Roundabout and 100ft Robot Golf, and we’re now looking to grow our unique, diverse team for No Goblin Game 3 and beyond.

Our goal as a studio is to build the team experience that we wished we’d had back in our previous AAA lives. We’re a remote-first studio that schedules and scope our games with quality of life as our primary concern, we have a four day work week, and we’re offering a forward thinking benefits package and team setup that includes profit sharing.

If that sounds interesting to you, please send us your details at this handily provided link!

(Feel like you’re overqualified or underqualified? Apply anyway! We’re happy to find the right fit for the right person.)

Gameplay Programmer (Unreal Engine/UE4, Remote, Contract)

No Goblin is looking for a great gameplay programmer to help us with No Goblin Game 3! We’re looking for someone who loves making fun gameplay systems, optimizing Blueprints and C++, and making and shipping games.

Your day to day will involve:

  • Ensuring our games run smoothly across both PC and console platforms.
  • Providing support for features that the rest of the team needs to make the game.
  • Hunting down and fixing gnarly bugs.
  • Being the point person for game code, including shaping the architecture of systems and data.
  • Prototyping and iterating on gameplay features and systems.

Skills you’re good at:

  • You have experience with Blueprints, C++ and Unreal Engine 4.
  • You have strong debugging and optimization skills.

Bonus skills that puts you ahead of everyone else:

  • You have experience with UE4’s behavior tree and animation systems.
  • You've dived into UE4 engine source and lived to tell the tale.
  • You've worked with console platforms before.
  • You have previous experience either shipping a game as part of a remote team or with freelance work. You can take ownership of a high level system or task and see it through to completion without direction.

Anything else?

While we're primarily looking for a part time contract to help us close out No Goblin Game 3, we're open to chatting about a full time role for the right person. Let us know what works for you when you apply!
